J.Krishnamurti to Himself- Part 2

The following text is just my thoughts on what J.K said in 1983, which were later put together in a book. Reportedly, this is his last piece of work, and he passed away in 1986 at his home, which was a cottage in the pine woods.

Continuing with nature in Part 1,

J.K absorbs the surroundings while traveling from one continent to another on a flight. He notices a mountain, frozen river, and forests from an altitude of forty-one thousand feet above the land.

He observes the other passengers and notices that no one looks outside to enjoy the beauty of nature. J.K talks about a couple sitting behind him; they are immersed in their own world, thoughts, and problems. He sees that everyone is absorbed in their own thoughts and that no one appreciates the outside mountain view.

J.K crosses the Pacific Ocean, escaping the messy streets selling the same products, and reaches the valley where he spent half of his life.

As he walks through the village and climbs the mountains, he notices an extraordinary smell, which he refers to as 'air perfume.' The air perfume is full of orange orchards and groves, filling the mind, heart, and entire body. He wonders about the extraordinary nature of this air perfume lingering in our bodies for more than three weeks.

Continuing his journey, the mountains remain still and quiet, surrounded by the freshness and greenery of the rainy season, creating a sense of holiness.

The way J.K explains nature made me connect with its uniqueness and beauty. Nature exists in its own extraordinary, beautiful, and marvelous way, allowing us to forget everything for a while.

However, the essential point is that the mind needs to be still and quiet. This means without any thoughts, memories, or remembrance, not even occupied with books and television.

The idea J.K suggests is that the mind needs to be still and quiet everywhere.

"The Earth is smiling with such delight, with some deep quiet understanding of its own existence. - J.Krishnamurti."
